Are these physical books?

No. They are downloadable digital ebooks; nothing is shipped.

Are they suitable for beginners?

Yes. No previous sewing experience is assumed.

Do I need a sewing machine?

Only Your First Sewing Machine and Useful Things to Sew require machine access for the main exercises. Sewing by Hand, Made Simple teaches hand sewing, and many repairs in Mend, Alter & Keep Wearing can be completed by hand.

Do the guides repeat?

No. They cover hand sewing, machine operation, clothing repair and practical projects.

How many pages?

Can every garment be altered safely at home?

No. Complex tailoring, valuable garments and structural alterations may require an experienced professional.
